1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using HomeHelp24 ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

HomeHelp24 is a platform operated by Trillium Solutions Ltd that facilitates introductions between customers seeking tradespeople and contractors offering trade services.

Important: HomeHelp24 is an introduction service only. We:

  • Do NOT vet, verify, or guarantee contractors
  • Do NOT employ contractors or engage them as agents
  • Do NOT handle payments between customers and contractors
  • Do NOT mediate disputes or guarantee work quality
  • Are NOT responsible for any work performed or not performed

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Customer Accounts

Customer accounts are free to create and use. By posting a job, you authorize contractors to view your contact information when they express interest.

3.3 Contractor Accounts

By registering as a contractor, you acknowledge that HomeHelp24 does not verify qualifications, insurance, or licensing, and you represent that:

  • You are authorised to perform trade services in the UK
  • You have and maintain any insurance or licences required for your work
  • The business information you provide is accurate and current

HomeHelp24 provides a listing and job-posting platform only and does not endorse or guarantee any contractor.

3.4 Public Directory Visibility

By creating a contractor profile, you consent to your business information (name, trade, postcode, contact details, and any review links you provide) being publicly visible in the HomeHelp24 directory. This allows customers to search and browse contractors without needing to create an account. You can delete your account at any time, which will remove your listing from the directory.

4. Contractor Subscriptions

4.1 Subscription Terms

Contractor subscriptions are billed as follows:

  • Trial Period: 6 months free trial with £1 card verification fee (non-refundable)
  • After Trial: £19.99 per month plus VAT
  • Billing Cycle: Monthly on the same day each month
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled
4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize HomeHelp24 to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access until the end of the paid period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

5. Use of the Platform

5.1 Permitted Use

Customers may use the Platform to:

  • Post genuine job requirements
  • Connect with contractors who express interest
  • Arrange work directly with contractors

Contractors may use the Platform to:

  • Browse and search for jobs matching their trade type
  • Express interest in jobs they can genuinely complete
  • Contact customers directly to discuss work
5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information
  • Post fake jobs or spam applications
  • Harvest contact information for spam or marketing
  • Impersonate another person or business
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Platform
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Professional Conduct

All users must maintain professional conduct. We expect:

  • Contractors: Only apply for jobs you can genuinely complete; respond promptly; provide honest quotes
  • Customers: Post accurate job descriptions; be respectful to contractors; honor commitments made

7. Data Processing

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using HomeHelp24, you agree to the data processing practices described therein, including sharing contact information between matched users.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Warranty

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • The quality, safety, or legality of services offered by contractors
  • The accuracy of contractor information or credentials
  • That you will find suitable contractors or work
  • Uninterrupted or error-free Platform operation
8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeHelp24 and Trillium Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any work performed or not performed by contractors
  • Any disputes between customers and contractors
  • Any property damage, personal injury, or financial loss arising from work arrangements
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Our maximum liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Vetting contractors before hiring (checking insurance, licenses, references)
  • Negotiating contracts and payment terms directly with contractors
  • Ensuring appropriate contracts and insurance are in place
  • Resolving any disputes with other users

9. Account Termination

9.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the Platform. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. See our Privacy Policy for information on data retention.

9.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent activity or spam
  • Receive multiple customer complaints about unprofessional conduct
  • Pose a risk to other users or the Platform

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Trillium Solutions Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HomeHelp24 regarding use of the Platform.
